Adding AdSense Ads to Your WordPress Post or Page
  1. Log into your WordPress dashboard. This method assumes you already have a WordPress site that you can edit, as well as an AdSense account.
  2. Log into your AdSense account. You must do so in a separate tab on your browser. In AdSense, click “My Ads” at the top-left of the page.
  3. Build your ad in AdSense. To do it, click “New ad unit,” and design your ad in the dialog box that appears.
  4. Click “Save and get code. Do it as soon as you are finished editing your ad. Copy the code for the ad in the dialog box that appears.
  5. Add the code. To add it, on your WordPress dashboard, navigate to the post or page editor for the post or page you wish to add the AdSense ad to. In the “Text” editor, paste the code among the HTML for the post where you want your ad displayed.

  6. Review your ad. After you paste the code, in the upper-right, click “Save Draft,” and then click “Preview” to make sure your ad displays as you want it to.
  7. Publish or update your post. When you’re happy with how it displays, you may publish or update your post or page by clicking “Publish” or “Update,” whichever button appears, depending on whether it’s a new post or not.

  1. Log into your WordPress dashboard. This method of adding AdSense to WordPress site is by using widgets, which are built-in apps for your website where you can display code and menus and things. They also let you post HTML, so you can place an AdSense ad in a WordPress widget.

  6. Select the “Text” widget. Drag it and drop it in the appropriate active widget area.
  7. Add a title to the widget. Doing so will display text above the ad. You may leave the title blank if you’d like.
  8. Paste the AdSense code and save. Paste it in the text area of your “Text” widget. Now click on the “Save” button, and you’ve done it. Your AdSense ad has just been added to a WordPress site.
