Steps

  1. Go to the AdSense website and create an account using the email and password associated with your Google account. Note that you will need to put in your real information (including postal address) in order to profit via Adsense.

  3. After getting your ad code, copy it and log on to Tumblr. Click on your blog's title at the top of the page.
  4. Next select "Customize theme", which should be on the right side of the page.
  5. Click on the "Edit HTML" button on the left side of the customization page. Paste in the Adsense code wherever you want it to be displayed. Alternately, put it in your description to have at the top/side of your blog (depending on your theme).
  6. Click on the "Save" button at the top. You are now officially an Adsense user--all you have to do is sit back and let it work its magic!
